Ephesians 1:4-5. He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love; having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire.
Ephesians 2:8-10. By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
Isaiah 65:11-12. You who forsake Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and who fill up mixed wine to Destiny; I will destine you to the sword.
Job 12:5. In the thought of him who is at ease there is contempt for misfortune. It is ready for them whose foot slips.
John 19:23-24. The soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the coat. Now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. Then they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, “They parted my garments among them. For my cloak they cast lots.”
Joshua 18:6. You shall survey the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh our God.
Leviticus 16:8. Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats; one lot for Yahweh, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
Nehemiah 11:1-2. The princes of the people lived in Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities. The people blessed all the men who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.
Proverbs 16:33. The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from Yahweh.
Psalm 22:18-19. They divide my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing. But don’t be far off, Yahweh. You are my help: hurry to help me.
Romans 8:28-31. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified. What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
