Ecclesiastes 10:16-17. Woe to you, land, when your king is a child, and your princes eat in the morning! Happy are you, land, when your king is the son of nobles, and your princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
Luke 6:3-5. Jesus, answering them, said, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him; how he entered into God’s house, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?” He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”
Mark 7:18-19. “Whatever goes into the man from outside can’t defile him, because it doesn’t go into his heart, but into his stomach, then into the latrine, thus purifying all foods.”
Matthew 6:25-26. “I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Proverbs 23:1-3. When you sit to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before you; put a knife to your throat, if you are a man given to appetite. Don’t be desirous of his dainties, since they are deceitful food.
Proverbs 23:6-7. Don’t eat the food of him who has a stingy eye, and don’t crave his delicacies: for as he thinks about the cost, so he is. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
Proverbs 23:20-21. Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat: for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
Proverbs 25:21. If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
Romans 14:2-3. One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.
Romans 14:21. It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.
