Old age

Job 5:26. You shall come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.

Job 12:12. With aged men is wisdom, in length of days understanding.

John 21:18-19. “Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you don’t want to go.” Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God.

Leviticus 19:32. You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.

Proverbs 16:31. Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness.

Psalm 71:9. Don’t reject me in my old age. Don’t forsake me when my strength fails.

Psalm 91:15-16. “He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him. I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 102:11-12. My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass. But you, Yahweh, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations.

Psalm 128:5-6. May Yahweh bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life. Yes, may you see your children’s children.

Titus 2:1-2.
Say the things which fit sound doctrine, that older men should be temperate, sensible, sober minded, sound in faith, in love, and in patience.

2 Samuel 19:34-37. Barzillai said to the king, “How many are the days of the years of my life, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem? I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king? Your servant would but just go over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward? Please let your servant turn back again, that I may die in my own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to you.”
