Exodus 20:12. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
John 9:2-4. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but, that the works of God might be revealed in him.”
Luke 18:29-30. “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for God’s Kingdom’s sake, who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.”
Matthew 12:50. “For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
Matthew 19:19-21. “‘Honor your father and mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” The young man said to him, “All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
Proverbs 17:6. Children’s children are the crown of old men; the glory of children are their parents.
Proverbs 23:22. Listen to your father who gave you life, and don’t despise your mother when she is old.
Proverbs 28:24. Whoever robs his father or his mother, and says, “It’s not wrong.” He is a partner with a destroyer.
Psalm 27:10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up.
Ruth 2:11-12. Boaz answered her, “I have been fully told about all that you have done to your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother, and the land of your birth, and have come to a people that you didn’t know before. May Yahweh repay your work, and a full reward be given to you from Yahweh, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
