Ecclesiastes 10:4. If the spirit of the ruler rises up against you, don’t leave your place; for gentleness lays great offences to rest.
Ephesians 4:1-3. I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Galatians 6:1-2. Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
James 3:13. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
Matthew 5:5. “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.”
Matthew 11:28-30. “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Proverbs 15:1. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Titus 3:1-2. Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men.
1 Thessalonians 2:7-8. We were gentle among you, like a nursing mother cherishes her own children. Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not the Good News of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us.
2 Samuel 22:36. You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.
